Telegram alert notifications
OwnBlock can send you real-time Telegram notifications when a relevant event occurs across the mining pools: a block is found, your hashrate drops, or your miner disconnects.
Telegram alerts are entirely optional. You can mine on OwnBlock pools without creating an account, registering your address, or linking any external service. This system exists for those who want additional visibility into their mining operation — if you do not need it, you can safely ignore it.
Prerequisites
- Active OwnBlock account (any authentication method).
- Telegram installed with an active account.
- Your mining address (you do not need to be actively mining to set up alerts).
Step 1 — Register your mining address
Before enabling alerts you must register and verify at least one mining address in your profile. OwnBlock needs to confirm you are the legitimate owner of the address before sending notifications.
How to register:
- Sign in and go to Mining profile → My addresses tab.
- Click Add address, select the coin (XMR, BTC or BCH) and enter your address.
- A challenge will be generated. Sign it with your wallet to prove ownership.
- Paste the signature and confirm. The address will be marked as verified.
You can register more than one address per coin. All addresses for the same coin share the same alert profile.
Step 2 — Link your Telegram account
With at least one verified address, go to the Telegram tab in Mining Profile.
- Click Link Telegram. A six-digit code, valid for 10 minutes, will be generated.
- Open Telegram and search for the bot:
@ownblock_bot - Send the /link command followed by your code. Example:
/link 435066 - The bot will confirm the link. Your Telegram will be associated with your OwnBlock profile.
Step 3 — Configure your alerts
With the bot linked you will see alert cards per coin. Alerts are configured per coin, not per individual address.
Available alert types:
- Block found — notification when the pool finds a block.
- Hashrate drop — set a % threshold and get alerted if it drops beyond that percentage.
- Miner disconnected — alert when your miner loses connection to the pool.
Alerts are global per coin. If you have two XMR addresses registered, both use the same profile — no separate configuration needed.
You can choose to receive messages in Spanish or English from the language selector in the alerts section.
Address management
If you add a new address for a coin that already has active alerts, it will automatically be covered by the same profile — no reconfiguration needed.
If you delete the last address for a coin, all alerts for that coin are automatically disabled and you will receive a Telegram notification. You can re-enable them when you register a new address.
If you need to use the same address in a new account, you can register it again. You will need to sign the challenge again to confirm ownership.
Account deletion
OwnBlock accounts that remain inactive for an extended period are automatically deleted. When this happens:
- You will receive a warning on Telegram before your data is deleted.
- All your alerts, registered addresses and the bot link will be deleted.
- Alerts will be silenced — the pool continues working normally.
If you manually delete your account you will also receive a farewell message on Telegram and all associated data will be immediately deleted.
To get alerts back after a deletion, create a new account and register your address again. Only you can do this — the process requires signing with your private key.
